GLAD to hear it worked out for you, but for future reference. by the time the sight glass is completely free of bubbles in a converted to R134 system it is OVERCHARGED due to the difference in how the original R12 and the conversion R134 "behave".
This is a known "FAQ" for converted mobile AC systems.
We all like all the cooling we can get, but for longevity being slightly UNDERCHARGED has worked out better in my experience.
Having a little less cooling from a system that continues to work is better than one that blows a hose or breaks a compressor, IMHO.
The lubricants that are used with R134 aren't as effective in older compressors originally designed for mineral oil and compressor life MAY be shorted, ESPECIALLY when "worked to the max".
