well the fuel is not going to flow if the needle shuts the gas off, and the filter will never be full. any tractor i have seen with those goofy filters.. they are only about half full. they had a fine screen at the sediment bowl and one at carb inlet and thats all that was ever on them. those inline filter are for a fuel pump where the fuel is pushed through them., then they are full.
