OK, I understand why you would want to drain out the old gas. But why replace it? Maybe put a gallon of fresh gas in the tank in case you need to start it up, and fill it up the next time you put it to work. Fresh gas starts to evaporate as soon as it's in an unpressurized container, such as your Jube's gas tank.
I use Stabil from time to time, but I'm not a believer. I have yet to hear a cogent explanation of how it supposedly works from its manufacturer or anybody else.
Gas will stay fresh a long time in an airtight container. But if you have to keep it in an unpressurized container, you want fuel with the lowest possible vapor pressure. In most places, that means summer-grade fuel. Gasoline containing ethanol is usually allowed one psi more vapor pressure than ethanol-free gas, so in theory you want ethanol-free summer grade gasoline for best shelf life. Or you can buy avgas, which limited to 7.0 psi Reid Vapor Pressure.
