No Jim there are no multi. clutch pac's in a 310G just two band brakes as it is diff. steer about like a car or pick up rear end just a slight difference in gear set up . Biggy on them is what you use for gear oil . It MUST BE MINERAL gear oil if you use reg 80-90 rear end grease you will mess up the brake bands and trust me once you do there will be no cleaning of the lining to get them to work once again and will need replaced . As for his rear end problem he has a gear issue or a shaft issue on the right side . 310 G Case dozers will NOT PIVOT turn like a normal dozer with your clutch pac and brake . I Bought a brand new 310 G back in 69 and ran the bag off it . Took on a job with it to mow 4 gas transmission line of 97miles each over ground in places a dirt bike could not go up or down on As mine had 3 point and PTO and we ran a 7 foot brush hog on it . I learned all about the steering brakes and what oil to use the HARD way .

The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
