First make sure this is the correct replacement starter. If that is verified look for a S ID on one of the spade terminals, that is the one to connect the small wire to. If that ID cannot be determined install the starter, connect the battery cable and MAKE SURE THE TRACTOR IS IN NEUTRAL. Then take a screwdriver or other suitable metal object and jump from the battery terminal to one of the small terminals which ever one cranks the engine then that is the one that needs connected to the small wire for the start circuit.
