Was working on my pickup, once, and tried to pull the bracket holding the clutch and brake pedals out from under the dash. I released one mount, and the heavy return spring over-centered and used the pedal shaft and the mount as shears, removing the end of one of my fingers. It clung on by a small patch of skin, and the docs were able to sew it back on, but the nerves in it are dead, and the bone is not aligned correctly. Doesn't help my already poor typing.
