Back in May we went 4+ weeks with no rain. Hay wasn't growing. June hit and so did the rain,it's continued into July. Haven't had 4 dry days in a row to cut hay. Actually need about 7-8 dry days, field is so soggy you could get a tractor stuck. I'm glad I ain't depending on hay to feed live stock. I bet we have had 2-2.5 inches of rain a week for the last 6 weeks. Most of the garden is drowned, tomatoes, squash, cucumber and eggplant have given up. Lots of the Indian corn is bent over. Watermelon, cantaloupe and pumpkins paper fine. Hopefully it won't be too wet and the melons rot instead of getting ripe. More rain forecast Evey day this week.... Soggy Alabama
