The local equipment mfg here takes a 2x at least a 12 inch hydraulic cylinder and attaches it first to the back board corner on each side then have it where the chain or cable that runs out to hold the boom up attaches to rod end of the cylinders. You need a hydraulic circuit for each cylinder. What they do is put a splitter on there where have a swiched circuit for boom leveling and folding if you happen not to have 4 different tractor remotes.
