I have a late 60s or early 70 250 Chevy in my shop. I rebuilt it years ago and it is bored 40 over and the head was milled. Only part that makes it look newer is the electronic ignition distributor. It might have 3000 mile on the rebuild. Took it out of the 1969 Chevy pickup it was in due to the rear axle bracket that had the coil springs on it had broken right at the spring area. That was a common problem with the old 1/2 ton Chevy pickups of those years.
