I though some of you might like to see how we do trying to breath life back into the M I bought at auction last Sunday. This is serial number FBK 46982. Am I correct in thinking that makes it a 1941? Be glad to hear your tips and hints as we go. We got the tractor home in nonrunning condition with one stuck wheel. So I figured the first thing to look at is the brake
Sure enough when we got it apart it was rusted solid.
I decided to put my chief mechanic on and see what he could do.
After about 30 minutes of work we got it free enough to roll. But we haven't got the brake band off yet. I have it soaking but I might have to use heat to get it off. I was proud to see son take an interest in this project. I think he wants to see it run as much as I do! I dont have as much time to devote right now as would like, but well keep plugging away as time will allow. Now that it will move I think well roll it In the shop and tackle the fuel system next chance we get to work on it.
