Worst tractor I ever drove was something star - maybe a four star back in the mid 60's? It was about a 50 horse tractor and painted more of a brown color than the normal MM colors. Neighbor owned one and we were given a loaner for about a month in hopes we would buy it. It had smaller tires on the back so it wasn't as good in the mud, relatively small gas tank for its size and it shifted hard unless you used the hand clutch over the foot clutch. Neighbor used to put his on the one row corn chopper instead of his JD 70 as the MM was a bit bigger tractor and the chopper was a full load for the 70. More than once he went back to the 70 as the MM couldn't get through the mud. It was on loan to us with the salesman hoping we would trade in our W9. The W9 would outwork it any day of the week and so did the neighbors 70.
