Has anyone tried using an ultrasonic cleaner to clean a carb? I have a 20 year old Exmark Lazer Z mower that was running poorly. I contacted an Exmark rep, who said to remove the carb and soak in the ultrasonic cleaner without disassembling. I did and was amazed at how much gunk was removed and how well it ran afterwards.
I bought the ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight...looks like a rectangle crock pot. I realize tractor carbs are a lot larger than my mower carb...but, possibly move it around in the ultrasonic cleaner to get the whole thing.
