Got the combine I picked up from Tom in Wyoming last week all serviced and ready to go to work.
This machine is in a whole lot better shape than my old one. The previous owner of my old one must have been the type that just left off anything that was hard to put back when making repairs. As I was going over this one I kept seeing things on it that my old one didn't have. At least 6 pieces of steel that were to keep grain going where it was supposed to were not even there. Even the ladder to the cab was a hack job. I always thought that was the most inconvenient machine to climb in I ever had, turn out the ladder was not the right one. When they have the correct ladder they are as easy as any to get in. Lol.
Anyway, this one is nice and with only around 2,000 hours should last me the rest of my lifetime. I'm going to try to cut the oats this weekend if the weather is good, then combine next week or weekend.
