My dad had a wheel horse. If I recall they was a cast iron washer to held the plades In place. Hit anything and the washer was like glass, shattered into pieces.
This old craftsman isn't as good looking or collectable as yours.
I removed the mower deck. Put tractor bar tires on it. Some wheel horses were true garden tractors that pulled a disk or plow.
One of my disk is a wheel horse disk.
