Water pump gaskets.
I stick the paper to the pump with 3M Yellow Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive, 08002. Then smear a very light coating of Permatex ultra grey on the engine side of the gasket. Have all your ducks in a row be ready to install the gasket.
When you put the adhesive on the pump apply the gasket then remove it for 30 sec are so then put the gasket back on. It will then be stuck and wont move on ya.
Why do I do this if I ever have to remove the pump its easier to remove any gasket are RTV from the surface than stuck paper that's hard as a brick. Its also a little insurance : )
Folks say that weatherstrip is a pain to remove I say its a lot easier when you have the part in your hand versed in a hole that's hard to get to.
That's the way I have done it for a many decade so far so good. When I get a hold of one where they used the other recommendations I am PIZZZZED...
