I chatted with your neighbors Friday evening but (again!) I missed getting to meet you. Maybe next time. Like you said, it was quite hot and breezy on Saturday (welcome to Kansas in August!) but we had a good turnout and things went pretty well.
The dry ground you mentioned with the plowing was cured Saturday night with about 1.5 of rain. It shut down the plowing for Sunday but those of us involved with farming aren't complaining at all since the fall crops were desperately needing a drink and the rain was an answer to prayer.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
