I've had used oil on two trailer decks and I'm done with it. It does soak in but not all the way, it will make it slicker, at least for awhile. You will not want to sit or lay on the deck, if you want to be clean. The boards might not stay wet but still oily enough to collect dirt and transfer to clothing. The oil treatment might last a year depending on conditions.
