Reminds me of when I was in Guam in 1975. I had scuba gear and spent a lot of time crusing the underwater reefs, graveyards of ships, some of the landing beaches, etc. The Japanese took the island from us right after Pearl Harbor then we took it back in the summer of 1944. There was a LOT of equipment like that tractor still there. Most of it under water but a lot of pieces only partially submerged. You could tell a lot of it had died a violent death from the remains of major components. Rear axles from two ton trucks torn in half or engine blocks split in two. It was very peaceful when I was there but reminders of the brutality of war were everywhere.
