That load would be a little more weight then our big silage wagons as i have seen 36 to 38000 lbs on them at times and they are a hand full on the hills around here way more then we should be handling . Brakes are a good idea if your running the roads or have hilly field lanes. Ya already have and air brake system even though they are of the OLD WAY . It does not take a lot of air pressure to make them work . If you ever drove a semi with a brake application gauge most times your only putting 20 to 40 psi to the brake to WHOA the load , now if it had the Piggy back parking brake then that needed around 65-70 to release the spring side . Like Cat guy said and old semi hand valve would work and for and air tank heck you can get small tanks new for trucks cheap , as for a compressor one off and old gas burner truck that only requires and oil line and a drain back could be mounted to run off the fan belts and set up with and electric clutch hookd to a pressure switch to kick it on and off when needed.
