Thats funny, I had a very good friend thats now deceased that ran a garage, one time he put a fuel pump on a customers station wagon, wouldnt crank , went to parts house to swap it out for another pump , put second one on and still no start. He calls parts house fussing about second one no good and goes and gets third fuel pump, gets to his shop and puts it on the station wagon and still wont start and calls parts house again fussing, a man from parts house delivers the fourth mechanical fuel pump and before my mechanic friend installs it he asked have you checked to see if the old car has gas in it? Haha, this is a true story, vehicle was just out of gas and my old friend was telling the parts house that they were pedaling cheap Chinese or Mexican parts.
