I took these pictures at the Big Dig near Concordia,KS on Saturday....Only (20) Twin City 60-90 tractors were ever made from 1916-1918...They weighed 28,000 lbs and had a 6 cylinder engine with a 7.25 bore and a 9 stroke...Only two originals are in existence...Dan Crist from Kansas put together a 3rd one over a 20 year period...A few original pieces are there from a junked one in Nebraska but it was mostly made using a 40-65 Twin City chassis with tons of parts having to be made..Dan did a great job and it cant be told from an original one...He even found a NOS original exhaust manifold in Minnesota.
A 1908 IH friction drive tractor owned by Dan Crist..At the present time its the oldest known tractor in Kansas...It was purchased from the family that bought it new in Iowa....It only did belt work so the gearing, drawbar hole, etc shows no use.
This 25-50 Minneapolis spent almost all of its life on the same farm in Kansas....A few years ago it went to Nebraska.
