The Farmall M and Oliver 88 that are here today were around then. Before my time but I think that I was told the horses were phased out by then. Dad's father from what I was told was pretty tight with money when it came to equipment. He shared equipment with a neighbor to fill silo but went solo by the end of the 1950's. I always wondered what he would have done in regards to a third tractor back then. He could have used a grain drill in place of a small spinner spreader to plant wheat. I have seen the bank account forms from back then and he quite easily could have afforded another tractor. A neighbor approached grandpa about buying his farm and grandpa could have paid cash for it and not impacted him all that much. Mom's father had a Farmall H and M and had a 9N or 2N. He had a JD 70 but I am not sure as to when that showed up or new or used.
