For Dave C.-- The newest Cub Cadet made before IH sold the line to MTD would be a- 73,106,126,or127(hydro). The very first Cadets were unnumbered, that was in about 1960. Then they started numbering them starting with 70, 7hp, and 100, 10hp. Then they went in order of number: 71,102,122- 72,104,124- 73,106,126. But come to think of it, I'm wrong. I'm forgot the later models with fiber glass hoods. All thoes I listed are the models with metal hoods. The ones with fiber glass hoods came out in the seventies. The newest of thoes would be red instead of yellow. Their numbers were in the 80's. I hope I was able to help a little.
