The country of manufacture has very little to do with the quality of the goods. The much more important factor is the brand. WHILE THERE ARE OF COURSE MANY EXCEPTIONS, since many manufacturers have sent a lot of their production overseas, usually the overseas manufacturers are supplied with very rigorous specifications and procedures and inspections to insure a product that meets the brand standards for quality, so you can get the quality that you expect. There are also many overseas manufacturers who produce exactly what they want to their own specs with lax oversight and inspections. You can't intelligently over generalize. You have to do your homework to ensure that you are getting a good brand. Then you have to become acquainted with the different quality grades that any given brand may offer.
