They said 4-6 weeks to get one. They told me about a place in White Pigeon that likely could have one a lot sooner, maybe even in stock, but I haven't checked yet. I'm debating what to do. The darned thing is only 18 foot on the deck with a 4 foot beaver tail. I can get 12 round bales on it, two small utility tractors if I really jam them together. I'm seriously thinking about moving a few shackles and making a tandem out of it instead of leaving it a tri-axle. Two 7000 pound axles should be fine for no bigger trailer than it actually is.
The darned thing is so rough, I hate to put a lot in to it. The whole frame was rusted away in back, so I turned it upside down 15 years or so ago, cut the frame off at the center axle then welded new I beam to it and plated it, made a new beaver tail. The frame is rusted through in a few spots toward the front more now. The cross members are bad. I'm always afraid of breaking something if I turn too short on a hard surface, trying to bring all three of those axles around. As soon as the weather straightens up, I'm gonna get under there and take a better look at what I have to move before I spend any money.

Corn products were harvested for grain, and for ensilage (we always just called it 'silage'). Silo Filling Time On dairy farms back in the 30's and into the first half of the 40's, making of corn silage was done with horses pulling a corn binder producing tied bundles of fresh, sweet-smelling corn plants, nice green leaves with ear; the
