You guys ALL have your copy of Robert & Phylis JOHNSON's CORN PICKER book and CORN CRIB book. They have done an amazing amount of work researching, writing, and proof reading the books. The Corn Picker book is +/- 900 pages, mine was one of the first printing, one volumn. Second and later printing was two volumns. Corn Crib book is 300-400 pages, single volumn. My Sister, a college librarian most of her life met the Johnson's about 10 years ago when they were working on the picker book. It's mostly reprints of advertising brochures and magazine articles. The Corn Crib book should be a required semester course for every agricultural degree program at every state university.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
