Mine is a TSC post hole digger. Probably a low to mid level tool. Has done probably hundreds of holes here. Have hit numerous rocks in my sandy and clay soil. never did any damage. One of my tractors has down pressure, but not neccessary, as it will pull itself down. I am careful not to abuse it, and run tractor at almost an idle. If i was doing hundreds of holes yearly, I would recommend a heavy duty model. In my case, I get by with a cheaper unit.
