For the compost an old manure spreader would work as cheap and easy as it would be. For the lime you could also use a manure spreader just not fill it up, or risk chain problems let alone others from weight. It probably would not spread lime so well but would apply it fairly even if you watch your laps and skips. Otherwise you might have to go the long dollar route. Regular fertilizer spreaders will not spread lime very well since it will not slide down the sides and the dooor is not big enough in the back probably. Big difference between tons and pounds per acre. The manure spreader would probably work better if you can get it and spread during dry time of the year like in late July to end of August. Less water in it so would be a looser product then.
