I don't know if this will help but a couple of the dealership buildings that were built around here during the 1970's were brick for the parts/showroom area and metal siding otherwise. Another was just pole barn type metal sheathing. Sales offices were along the outside of the parts department. Some dealers prior to the 1970's used Quonset type buildings. Some were converted gas/service stations. In some cases when the additions were put on the old building went to the service dept or parts storage. The new addition went for parts counter, showroom, sales, and offices. A good project nonetheless. I wanted to do something similar with our nearest dealer who lasted until the mid-1960's centered around a Lionel train set up.
