Just bought a ford 3400 industrial gasser tractor few days ago. Paint and
sheet metal excellent. Engine has some stain but not bad. Bought it to resurrect an old 4000 RC until the mechanic called within a day or two and said that 4000's engine was no good due to water in the oil. Now I guess that I'll work on the 3400. Engine has gas in crankcase so it may be bad as well. Tractor has a 4 spd tranny w/ torque converter reversing. Haven't had much opportunity for on site research due to wife's ALS disease but the few minutes I did have to go to the farm I noticed that I didn't see a clutch pedal. I've driven and operated tractors for almost 60 yrs of foreign and domestic origins but I've never seen or heard of this. The T-C is manual. What little info I found came from some of you fella's. I think I understand the codes. C5021F 2C10B Does anyone know about this type of transmission and how it operates ? I would appreciate any info that any of you may have.
