I owned the family farm for almost 40 yrs, while I lived and and worked hundreds of miles away. I was nostalgic about the place, but all the planned visits dwindled over the years. Finally the burden of remote share cropping, remote maintenance, renter grief, and long distance headaches overcame my nostalgia.... and I sold the place. I am glad to be out from under the burden.
