Yes, and even with their age, my long time friend, neighbor and farmer always kept his 620 ready on reserve. I worked with him for quite a few years on and off and the 620 was always handy just because it was another tractor, with remotes. I used it with one of the Kilbros gravity wagons he had, fertilizer during spring planting, grain during harvests and hauling hay wagons when we did square bales for customers he had orders from. His son could back a hay wagon with it like no other and I was pretty good at it from my years doing same as a kid way back when. One of the most intimidating tasks I did was haul a full gravity wagon of fertilizer to the top of the hill on rented ground on my side of the road, kept thinking if I stall this thing I am in trouble. Thankfully, I used the appropriate gear, and it pulled that wagon to where it needed to be. One thing about these, the hand clutch direction to engage was opposite of my old caterpillar D7's hand clutch, had to get used to pushing forward to move vs pulling back like on the D7.
He had this 620 since the 60's and used it often throughout the years for as long as I can remember. It was the only loader tractor he had and it did have a factory 3 pt hitch. The loader was removed at some point, but I marveled at this tractor when I saw him still using it in the field after all these years, aside from the late model tractors he did have. He had a pretty good size operation with some nice equipment, but the 620 always found some work at various time of the year.
Sometime later, maybe a year or 2 after he passed, '15 or '16, all of his equipment was sold off, and I sadly remember hearing that 620 come to the intersection of the main road like I had for all the years before. This was it's last trip, heading east going right past me, thinking to myself, that is the last time I'll likely ever see it and or hear it again. He got it from the BTO in this town back then, as they likely upgraded, maybe it went back there?
