Quote: CVPost-billjonkey (quoted from post at 14:39:24 11/10/21) I have a Ford 861 Powermaster tractor with ignition problems. After removing the distributor cap, I find I cannot remove the dust cover to access the rotor.
CAN ANYONE PROVIDE ME WITH THE TRICK TO REMOVING THE DUST COVER?
Thanks, Bill
The rotor (#2) is above the dust cover and gets removed after the distributor cap, then the spring clip (#38) the rotor was slid over. After removing the spring clip the dust cover(#34) should come off. If it is stuck a bit of gentle prying around the edge to free the gasket may be needed.
