If your plates expire in 21, and you wish to park your truck in the off season, it is possible your plate fee will be double in 22. The local license bureau suspects the the pro-rate will be reinstated by February, BUT IN CASE IT IS NOT, you can protect yourself by getting a receipt from any sort of storage facility stating that the truck was off the road between 21and 22. Present this receipt at the time you purchase the sticker, and they will call Columbus to approve pro-rate for your particular time frame. Call your local BMV for further details. This whole mess is based on covid, so that is why they are hesitant to give any firm answers.
