A funny thing I saw on my 1998 Dodge 1500 P/U was the GM logo cast into the disc casting while I was replacing the pads one day. Can't recall just now but there have been other similarities that i found between the two companies and makes me wonder about any co-production on auto parts to increase volume and reduce manufacturing costs.....maybe it was the multi part pressure formed frame that I think I recall Dodge invented years ago.....again recalling, rusty, may have the frame thing reversed but both were similar.
The slanted windshield thing too. The problem I have with the slant is that used to be you could see out the windshield without the dash getting reflected back in your face and forcing you to use polaroid sun glasses when you drive in the sun. My 2007 Ram 1500 had that glass and when I bought my current 2011 Silverado 1500 it too was laid back in similar fashion and drives me nuts......

The window was dirty and I was driving into the evening sun. It was hard to see and it was my first pass down the field. I got the tractor so stuck that the underside of the tractor was resting on the ground. My uncle wanted
