By what indication are you determining that it has not lost its prime? If you turned the engine with a injector line loose to determine if fuel was squirting out of the loose connection then you have went past what I was going to warn you of. Which would be the possibility of parts in the pump sticking and then when the engine is turned things twist off. But if you got it to pump fuel it must not be stuck. From here I know what I would do but I will wait to see other recommendations. That is an indirect injection engine. Which means the injector delivers fuel into a precup area ..small chamber.. with an opening into cylinder. A glow plug tip also projects into the chamber. The glow plug is operated by the electrical system. A button on the dash will be held 20 seconds or more depending on the ambient temp and the temp of the engine. Here is a discussion from a forum post about flow plug operation. ..Depends on how cold the temperature is. Normal summer time operation is around 30-45 sec. At 0 degrees F your probably looking at 3-4 minutes. The latter takes a good set of batteries and a whole lot more cranking amps than IH called for when new.. So that system has to be functional for it to start. When the button is pushed the gauge should swing most of the way to the right if all the glow plugs are good. I have said enough see what others add.
