I do own my own tank, but last year that was a problem. I had used Amerigas for nearly 20 years. Budget plan, auto refill. Last November they just quit coming. I made tons of phone calls and sent multiple e-mail messages, and they just ignored everything. I have a friend who worked for them and he told me that they were trying to get out of the customer owned tank business. Apparently, there is some kind of extra profit with their rental tanks, so they just migrated to them. I ran out of gas in December and had a devil of a time getting started with another company. So far, the new company will fill my tank when I call them and let the tank run down to less than 20% full. I don't feel real comfortable with them, but it's the best deal I can find for now.
