The thing I love and hate about these old Ford tractors is the ability to swap parts(sometimes) I've got a tractor that was my dads and the water pump went out. No problem I went and got a pump for a 600 which I thought it was. Well got back home and it wasn't the same. I went back to the man with the old pump and showed it to him. He said you have a Jubilee not a 600 and sure enough it was the right one. He asked if it had the axle nut on the outside of the drum on back and I said no. Well come to find out that at one point my dad loaned it to his best friend who wasn't the brightest bulb on the line and he tore up the transmission trying to pull stumps out of the ground! Well they found a 640 with a busted block cheap and swapped the transmission and rear end with the Jubilee engine and front end! I have to stop and look close when buying parts to make sure I've got the right animal!
