Hello all,
I have a new to me Ford 6610. I am doing a few TLC things before next hay season. I just replaced the 2 rubber boots that go around the brake rods (they were both leaking pretty good).
My question is now I have a very slow trickle leak coming from the shaft that goes into the housing, and I have the arrow pointing where the leak is. I am unsure what this shaft is called or what it's purpose is. Is there a seal I am missing? I can't figure out how on earth to diagnose this leak....it just slowly trickles out and down the case before eventually ending up on the ground.
Is it worth even touching for the small amount it leaks? After all, older tractors leak sometimes. I am just a little worried that if the oil gets hot while haying it would be more prone to leaking.
