Well, here's an good example of proof that banks do NOT want to handle cash these days. After our annual tractor pull and show in August, our club deposits a good lump of money all at once ...... for example, the gate receipts are all done in cash as are raffle tickets, 50/50 cash split sales, clothing/hat sales, etc. We don't use any kind of electronic payment options for people who show up. This year, our bank charged us for depositing over $5000 in cash at one time. I can't remember the amount and really that doesn't matter. The fact is that they did charge us. A simple phone call straightened it out and the charges were reversed, but the bottom line is the message. Cash will eventually disappear for the most part .... not this year or next or even in 10 years, but eventually it will just like EV's are going to be the norm ..... it's gonna happen.
