The info I have agrees with you. I also saw something in writing saying that there will be no oil pressure until the oil filter was filled. I'm not sure how long it takes for the filter to fill up. I ran the engine for what I thought was sufficient to build pressure. I wasn't considering the fact of the filter taking more than a few seconds to fill. The delay caused me to become concerned about the oil pump, so I shut it down and removed the pump to check it. It pumps a full flow with pressure. I plan to install the pump, remove the piston and be sure it moves in the channel, and when I get the parts, put it all back together and try again. I really appreciate your response. WL
