A very intresting Industrial version of a Fordson E27N tractor from the late 1940s. This tractor is fitted with a Perkins P6 diesel engine, the correct drivers cab,rear wheel weights and a snowplough. This tractor is owned and restored about 25 years ago by Peter Dean and his son Mark from Galphy near Rippon North Yorkshire here in the UK. The lettering on the front and back of the cab is CITY OF LEEDS CLEANSING DEPARTMENT who owned the tractor from new till Peter bought it. MJ.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
