Jeremy, you've come to the right place. It's pretty hard to answer a general question like that in any meaningful way, but when you get started, specific questions can be answered by SOMEBODY on this board. This is also a good place to find sources for parts. The F20 is a pretty simple tractor, and it should be easy to figure out most of it. Do get a good reproduction manual for it. Scott Satterlund at Binder Books sells a good one. He advertises elsewhere on this site. Generally, the problem areas on these old tractors are engine wear, such as worn pistons/sleeves/rings and valves. Check closely for cracks in the block and head if it's a "cold country" tractor. They didn't have an effective antifreeze in the old days, and a lot of them cracked when an unexpected freeze hit and the owner didn't drain the block. The other main area of wear and problems is usually the clutch assembly. The book I mentioned above will guide you through this area pretty thoroughly. Keep us posted, and come back with any specific questions you may have.
