Looks to me that you can remove the two bolts on the motor mount and remover it with out pulling the axle. I would however crib under the bottom of the frame tub just to add some stability. Also put a little under the oil pan to support the engine. The bolts are threaded into the axle support and there is one nut and bolt through the front of the frame tube to hold the axle pivot. That should be enough if you support the front of the frame tub.
