Twas the day before Christmas, the only thing stirring was me drinking coffee and the wife's hair blower whirring. When from my cell phone there arose a great clatter, I answered to see what on earth was the matter. The neighbor wondered was I busy today, could I get out my backhoe and come right away. The water line out by the grove was a leakin'. The water turned off but his wife was a cookin'. I hurried right over to give him some aid. A backhoe is so much better than a spade. We dug the hole quickly, no frost in the ground. In no time at all the problem was found. The Mrs. was helping, going bezerk, we paid her no mind and went on with our work. We soon had the leak fixed, a new hydrant in place. We turned on the water, no leaks, smiles on our face. It's bad when a water line breaks in December, but this turned out good, a day to remember. Merry Christmas everybody! ADB - 80% retired farmer and occasional plumber.
p.s. to be fair to his wife, she knew exactly where the bucket of plumbing stuff was and pretty much knew what was in it. And who could blame her for being in a tizzy when she was trying to fix Christmas dinner with the water shut off.
