Except that Kubota did not show up only within the last 5 years. I considered buying a Kubota way back around 1980 as they made a sub 20 HP tractor that could be outfitted with a loader that I could have pitched calf stalls with. Kubota was already quite a force in terms of tractors in the US by the 1990's. That aside I have been around long enough to see quite a few companies get too big for their pants and at some point Kubota will be no different. It has already been said that Kubota really wants to run by itself in terms of a distribution network which most likely be a problem for a number of dealers that carry more than one line. I can't blame Kubota in the least for wanting to secure its own marketing but how many will sit silent when their favorite Kubota dealer no longer handles their favorite orange tractor or that they can't gets parts from another brand when the dealer drops all else to become orange only.
