John Deere has even bought complete tractors in the past to Zetor (Deere 2800 and 2900). Zetors at that time were not good tractors at all.
And in the early 90s, they bought tractors from Renault to fill the gap between the 6000/6010 and the 5000 tractors (price tag). I consider these tractors good and reliable, but less sophisticated than a Deere 2020....
All the 5A, B C D, E etc are made in China and India plant, or double sourced. 5E are made in 4 plants at the same time, few of them being made in USA. you do not get 6B profit without greed. The new Deere CEO is Greedman;
I am glad the small german company that won agritechnica Gold medal with their CTF harvesters ridicule Deere by making true innovation. Now Deere can try to say their "nothing new" X9 is a marvel of technology... It is NOT!!! Only built by a pile of Excel Doctorates only able to reproduce same pile of s---- they already do, and only after all the other brands are ridiculizing them for too long in the wheat fields.
That CEO idiot thinks they are selling "Technology". He does not believe in Iron. What a shame to see that company created by an Iron worker going to such a fate...
