I am restoring my 1952 Farmall MD and part of the Delco Remy 12V starter serial tag is missing from the starter. I want to replace it, but am missing the serial numbers. My model number is 1108913.
I was told by the guy at the starter/generator shop that the serial numbers were all the same on each model. Not sure if that is correct or not. Does anyone know? I at least would like to know the numbering convention for the serial numbers, if anyone knew or was willing to share their serial numbers off of their Delco Remy Model 1108913 12V starters.
Apparently these model starters were used on the following: Farmall MD, MDV, MTA, International ID-6, ID-6A, ID-9, McCormick ODS-6, Super WD-6 and Super WD-9.
