Depending on the model, they are over $5K new, so you would get a significant discount. Some have riveted sections, others are bolted. Apparently the hydraulic fold is an option (for an extra $365).
Do what you want, but it would be nice to know why it is being sold. If the seller is moving up to bigger equipment that is one thing, but on the other hand, if it didn't work for him, will it work for you?
The videos look pretty slick but require rear remote hydraulics which I don't have. I use an IH 100 and the plugging can be a problem, which the double-acting sickle seems to reduce. Let us know how it works out (in the summer!). Good luck, Dave
