In my opinion wondergem has your answer posted on the Ollie forum, connect the 10 gauge wire where ever the battery cable connects to the starter or the starter solenoid. By choosing a ..one wire.. alternator you have eliminated the possible use of the original ..amp light.. Adding a volt gauge as suggested by JAN that is connected to a powered terminal on the ignition switch when it is on will be the simplest way to monitor the charging system if you so desire.
